What is LEGO® Ninjago®?
LEGO® Ninjago® was created as a TV series in 2011 and became hugely popular for kids. Alongside this, the Ninjago® collection of toys were released so that children could be a ninja kid in the real world. This let children escape into a fantasy land, leaving all screens behind.

The exciting TV series, and the whole Ninjago® world, is based around six teenage ninja warriors who are learning to become spinjitzu Ninjago® masters. Master Wu, their mentor, is teaching them the ropes as they defend their home from dangerous enemies.
The ninjas all have personality traits that are just like real world kids. They are brave, kind, talented, cheeky, ambitious and always keen to know more about the world that surrounds them. Due to this, kids can relate to the characters and see themselves within them, making them more immersed in the Ninjago life.

Meet the ultimate ninjas
So, who are the main characters? Who is good and who is evil? Meet the ultimate ninjas and other characters that are available within the playsets.
Ninja heroes
· Kai- One of the leaders in the Ninjago® team, Kai is the ninja of fire. With his sword and fire element, he is a hugely popular and well-loved character that kids love to role-play with.
· Nya- Kai’s sister and the ninja of water. She is the only girl within the team and is a strong character.
· Lloyd- A wise and inspirational leader of the team, Lloyd is the evil Master Garmadon’s son. Lloyd chose a different route in life and became the energy master of spinjitzu.
· Zane- The first Nindroid ninja to be created, robot Zane became a vital member of the team and the ninja of ice.
· Cole- Recruited by Master Wu, Cole gave up a life of singing and dancing to become an Earth ninja. He is very brave and is a powerful character that kids look up to.
· Jay- The ninja of lightning, Jay is the funny character in the group and brings the Ninjago® team together
· Master Wu- Although not a hero, Master Wu is the ninjas mentor teaching them to unlock their full potential.
Evil character
Stop the main evil character and protect your home, your fellow ninjas and yourself! There is one lead villain within the Ninjago® world and that’s Garmardon.
Garmardon was the son of the first spinjitzu master and Wu’s brother. As a child, Garmardon was poisoned with evil after being bit by the Great Devourer. Now, he wants destruction as he became a warlord.


What can you create with Ninjago® in the real world?
There are multiple different playsets available to create your own exciting Ninjago® world. You can build protective mechs to keep your ninja characters safe. They are customisable so this allows kids to run wild with their imagination and create their own mech.
There is plenty of opportunity to create multiple dragons for each ninja. Kids can build dragons such as Egalt the master dragon to bring their Ninjago® fantasy alive. Plus, vehicles such as bikes, cars and transforming mechs are also available as transportation for the ninja heroes.
Kids can also create a whole LEGO® Ninjago® city with various temples and city market playsets to surround themselves in the adventures of being a ninja.
Each of these playsets vary in age groups that depend on the complexity of the build. Most range from age 7+ but there are Ninjago® sets from as little as 4+ all the way to 14+.
