What was the first one to be created?
Released in 2017, the first lovable plush to capture kids hearts was Cam the Calico Cat. Cam was a part of the Easter range that featured 7 different characters alongside her. These other characters were: Hans the Hedgehog, Fifi the Fox, Wendy the Frog, Hoot and Holly the Owls and Piper and Puff the Penguins.
These were designed by Sunny Cho who worked for KellyToys. In 2019, KellyToys were bought by the toy maker Jazwares who continued the legacy of these plushies and made them more accessible.
