The beak of the parent bird is magnetic, so kids can easily catch and feed the worms in the tree trunk, which are also magnetic. As children take on the role of the parent woodpecker, the role play promotes the parent-child relationship. The toy supports the development of fine motor skills and trains patience and hand-eye coordination as well as mobility of the wrists.
Learning numbers and colours: There were five little worms and now one is gone! Now there's one, two, three, four!. With Feed the Woodpecker, the little ones learn their first numbers in a playful way. The toy makes them count the worms they have caught. The colourful worms also help kids to learn first colour names in a playful way and to distinguish the colours.
