The earth is our home - and a fascinating object of research. With the interactive 3D model THE EARTH by SCIENCE CAN, children aged 6 years and over immerse themselves in the exciting world of geosciences.
The openable globe reveals the earth's surface as well as the layers of earth below - from the earth's mantle to the glowing core of the earth, which comes to life thanks to integrated lighting.
Knowledge that becomes audible
The set contains 12 knowledge cards on five central topics: Country Lexicon, Earth Layers, Cave Exploration, Ages of the Earth, and Natural Wonders. Curious kids place the cards on the interactive base. When they press on a specific picture on the card, the corresponding fact is played. T
his turns learning into an active experience that combines seeing and hearing. The 6 double-sided large cards combine both functions - explanation and quiz - in one. The 6 small cards concentrate purely on imparting knowledge.
Quiz function with direct feedback
It gets even more exciting in quiz mode: the large cards are also equipped with quiz questions. In quiz mode, children also place a card on the base and hear questions on specific topics.
To answer, kids simply press the corresponding picture on the card. They then hear immediately whether the answer is right or wrong. This self-monitoring function strengthens understanding and encourages motivation to continue learning.
Fascinating details
When the globe is opened, the inner parts are removable. Here, children discover fossil finds and delve even deeper into the geological eras. Or they investigate magma movements and cave formation. The voice output is in English and French. The 3D model requires 3 AA batteries, which are not included in the set.
